Soma is taken three times per day by mouth. The average adult needs about 350 mg of soma at each time, which is at breakfast, lunch and dinner. People under the age of 12 should not take soma. Also, those who suffer from acute intermittent porphyria should avoid taking soma because this could cause unwanted complications. It is not yet known whether soma can cause harm to a fetus and those who have kidney or liver disease should ask a doctor before deciding to take soma. It is also recommended that this not be used while a mother is breast feeding.
If a dose of soma is forgotten it can be taken within an hour of the normal time it would have been taken. If it has not been remembered within an hour or so it should be skipped and picked back up at the next normal time. Never take more than one soma in an attempt to catch up with the doses, this can be dangerous.
